Tim Berger Photojournalism Portfolio

I have a photojournalism career that has spanned thirty years of working for several newspapers in several roles. For many of them, I was a staff photographer at the Los Angeles Times Community Newspapers, a group of papers owned and operated by the Los Angeles Times.

Before the Times, I filled several editor positions in the visual departments at the San Gabriel Valley Newspapers. I was the photo editor, visuals editor, then new media editor, roles that have developed and honed visual design skills that I use for teaching and freelance jobs. I am skilled in layout and design, multimedia, video editing, webcasting, wire photo editing, photo editing, and of course, photography.

The photos in my photojournalism portfolio are mostly the result of the last ten years I've had in photography as a staff photographer for the Los Angeles Times Community Newspapers.
